With traffic, parking, and congestion in the Los Angeles area, this hotel’s location is next to Disney, with a refreshing heated pool to cool off for a mid-day Disneyland break – you can’t beat it. The actual cost of the hotel was quite affordable for the timing of our stay compared to other Disneyland neighboring hotels. However, they have some upcharges to watch for that aren’t ever clear on the booking experience – the Breakfast is Not Free (though I was given a 1-day breakfast voucher for my Platinum status), the Kids Eat Free breakfast (supposed to be free with paying adult) had a fee on the bill, and the Parking fee at $26 a day looked cheaper than parking at Disney, but in reality isn’t due to daily charges and taxes you pay more. Nonetheless, the staff was cordial, helpful, and friendly. The rooms were plush, comfortable, and cool. WiFi worked decently (I had two disruptions where I had to revert to my cell phone). The Pool with Cabana window for ordering, hot tub, and splash pad were terrific. Being a block away during the heat wave, we could go to Disneyland from 8-1, then head back to the hotel to cool down at the splash pad and pool during lunch, then back for more Disney fun from 4-midnight. The cost of the pizza bar was affordable and reasonable. So overall, a good stay. Visited 7/2/24-7/4/24: 4.5 stars.

Walking Distance to Downtown Disney – This Holiday Inn is a Disneyland Neighbor Hotel and only a (long) block away from Disneyland Main Street (you have to wrap around Pixar and pass around Disney Hotel). Good exercise at an approximate 15 minute walk. From there you can jump on the Monorail or walk downtown tot the gates of Disneyland or California Adventure. Parking is convenient, but not necessarily more affordable than parking at Disneyland. Parking at Disneyland offers a ride to the front gates. They do offer (for a cost) front door transit with Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) directly to the front gates. The hotel has easy on/off access to I-5 and is literally just behind Disneyland parkade. They have a heated outdoor pool with cavana service window, Whirlpool, and a Splash pad for the kids. Breakfast is not free, is available for extra charge – but the food is great as it is serviced by Onyx Restaurant and Bar. They have a good business center and 24-hour fitness center. WiFi is decent, though experienced some down time watching movies during our two-night stay.
