Rhine River

Rhine River, Düsseldorf, Germany: A Meandering Journey Through Culture, History, and Everyday Wonder One of the amazing places where I've explored the Rhine was in Düsseldorf, Germany. It always starts with a ripple, or so it seems to me, standing on the edge of the Rhine River in Düsseldorf, Germany, watching the lazy water slide by in a gray-green ribbon, both endless and familiar. The river feels more like a living friend than a feature on a map, winding its way across Europe, carving borders, shaping stories, sending scents of mud and memory into the spring air as if to remind me, here is where kingdoms were built and broken, where trade bustled and dreams floated downstream along with stray petals and tossed stones.

Angermund, Düsseldorf

There’s a peculiar kind of hush in Angermund, the sort that settles only in places with deep roots and long memories; a hush that softens even the hum of city life at the northernmost edge of Düsseldorf, Germany. Daylight glances off gracious old homes bordered by whispering trees, while the architecture, stately yet inviting, hints at eras gone by and stories tucked away like old postcards in attic drawers.

Animism & Ai: Spirit in Stone, Spring, and Silicon

From the spirit-haunted caves of Homo habilis to the glowing circuits of techno-mystics, this groundbreaking work traces the evolving relationship between humanity and the unseen forces that animate our world. Drawing from a lifetime of mythic living and academic inquiry, shaped by the teachings of Anthropologist Bruce Grindal, the magical theories of Real Magic author Isaac Bonewits, and workshops attended with psychedelic visionaries Timothy Leary and Terence McKenna, author Thomas Baurley delves deep into the forgotten, the forbidden, and the freshly reawakened.

Starbucks – Ferndale, Washington

The change didn't just update the décor; it transformed daily coffee routines for many Ferndale residents. The drive-thru, for example, became a welcome update for mornings on the go, while extended opening hours let people drop by whenever they need a caffeine fix.

Moringa

Moringa carries a legend that matches its many names, from the “miracle tree” in rural India to the “drumstick tree” scattered along dirt roads in Africa and Southeast Asia. Its leaves, once crushed into powder or steeped in tea by ancient healers, now find their way into smoothie bowls and market shelves far from the monsoon-soaked hills where its roots first pushed through the earth.

Capall Mór Unicorn Statue on the N22: Ireland’s Living Fae, Mythology, and Folklore in Sculpture

Roadside travelers on Ireland’s N22 will spot a striking figure rising against the green hills: the Capall Mór unicorn statue. Shimmering with an almost spectral presence, this equine monument recalls the very heart of faerie, mythology, and folklore, blending centuries-old legend with the modern landscape. The choice of a unicorn, steeped in symbolism, acts as a visual anchor that links local mythic traditions to a living, breathing geography.
