Óstán Ghobnatan táimid bródúil as a bheith inár nÓstán Teaghlaigh faoi chúram mhuintir Uí Chríodáin ó bunaíodh an traidisiún i 1969 go dtí an lá atá inniu ann. The Abbey Hotel is located on the border of Cork and Kerry on the main Cork / Killarney road (N22) in the quaint village of Ballyvourney in the Gaeltacht area. While visiting in the off-season I only really got to know the family-run hotel in the evenings for dinner as breakfast and lunches were not running during my stay. They were established in 1969 by the Creedon family.

The staff is friendly and hospitable, and boasts 39 newly appointed en-suite bedrooms with decent rates. Downstairs is a conference/meeting area, restaurant, and bar. The conference room is 300-seats. Hotel provides a free private car parking lot, facilities for disabled access, hotel lift, complimentary wifi, and delicious food / drink. Again, I only got to experience the dinners – and they were delicious. The room was restful and basic, free tea and coffee, heat and cable television. Rating 4 stars out of 5 (December 2023)
