Festival & Camping Gear Gift Guide: What a Festival Vendor Actually Packs

Heads up: this post contains affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only list gear I’d actually pack, and prices are as of late October 2026, so they may have changed by the time you click.

If you’ve ever wandered past our booth at a festival, you’ve seen the glitter, the curiosities and the treasures. What you didn’t see is the gear behind it: the tent we crawl into after teardown, the chair that saves my back during a twelve-hour day, and the headlamp that finds the dropped card box at midnight. After years of festivals and campouts, these are the pieces that keep earning their spot in the truck.

So here’s my holiday gift guide for the festival-goer, vendor, or camper in your life. Everything below lives in one collection, so you can browse it all in one place.

Booth and campsite comfort

REI Co-op Flexlite Air Chair ($74.93)

A good chair is the most underrated festival gift. This one is light enough that I don’t resent carrying it from the parking lot, and it packs down small. Anyone who stands at a booth all day will thank you. Find it in the collection.

REI Co-op Camp Roll Table ($55.89)

Every campsite needs a flat surface that isn’t the cooler lid. A roll table gives you somewhere to cook, play cards or lay out the day’s finds, and it rolls up out of the way when you’re done. Find it in the collection.

REI Co-op Half Dome SL 2+ Tent ($173.83)

This is the splurge gift on the list. A reliable two-person tent with a little extra room is what you want when you’re camping on-site for a long weekend and the weather can’t make up its mind. Find it in the collection.

REI Co-op Trailmade 20 Sleeping Bag ($58.83)

A friendly, budget-minded sleeping bag for three-season festival camping. It’s a great first bag, or a backup for the friend who always shows up without one. Find it in the collection.

Light after dark

Black Diamond Spot 400 Headlamp ($54.95)

Hands-free light is non-negotiable for teardown, late-night bathroom runs and finding the right tent in a sea of identical tents. Black Diamond headlamps have been in my kit for years. Find it in the collection.

Black Diamond Moji R+ Lantern

A small rechargeable lantern turns a dark tent or booth corner into a cozy one. It’s the kind of gift people don’t buy themselves and then use every single trip. Find it in the collection.

BioLite Charge 80 Power Bank ($99.95)

Phones, card readers, headlamps: everything at a festival runs on battery. A solid power bank keeps the booth taking payments and keeps you reachable when your crew scatters. Find it in the collection.

Food, water and weather

Jetboil Flash Cooking System ($96.93)

Hot coffee before the gates open is a small miracle. A Jetboil boils water fast, so breakfast, tea and instant noodles happen in minutes instead of a production. Find it in the collection.

Katadyn BeFree Water Filter

For campouts where the water spigot is a long walk away or the creek is right there, a squeeze-style filter is a simple bit of peace of mind. Find it in the collection.

RTIC 8-Can Cooler ($79.99)

A personal-size cooler for drinks and snacks at the booth, so you aren’t walking back to camp every time you get thirsty. Find it in the collection.

Patagonia Torrentshell Rain Jacket ($93.83)

Festival weather turns on a dime. A packable rain shell lives in my bag all season, and it’s a gift that works on everyday rainy days too. Find it in the collection.

Why these picks

Every item here had to pass the same test: would I pack it again next season? A lot of the collection was on end-of-season sale in late October, so it’s a good time to grab the bigger pieces like the tent and stove. Pair any of them with a little something from our Techno Tink Treasures shop and you’ve got a festival gift with some sparkle in it.

Happy trails, and I hope to see you at a booth next season.
